How To Resolve "Contacts Not Showing" Problem in Galaxy Ace or Android Phone

Hope whoever reading this post would have faced this issue. You would have stored more than 100 contacts in your android. Recently you have saved a contact of a friend. After sometime you are trying to call to the same friend. But you are not able to find the contact even after searching with his name.

I too have faced the same issue with my Galaxy Ace android mobile. After checking many options I have found a fix for this. Actually its not a fix. Just we need to enable the option in contact manu. Follow the below steps and you can see all of your missing contacts in your android.

1. Go to contacts.
Galaxy ace android contacts missing issue solution 2. Go to menu of the contacts screen.
3. Select Display options. If you don't find it select 'More Options', there you can find the 'Display Options'.
4. It will show 'Phone' , 'Sim' , if you have logged in your android with Gmailids, then it will show Gmail too.
5. Click on down arrow of 'Phone' option, then enable show contacts options,
6. Do it same for 'Sim' option also and Gmail also if you want to show your Gmail contacts on your android.

Save the changes and come out. Then search for the contact that you missed. Surely you will find it now.

Hope you solved your android problem with this trick. If it's not please mention in comments and I will get back to you.

Thanks for providing this tip. I followed the instructions you mentioned but could not see the Phone nor SIM option. It only shows "SIM Initializing...". When i hit OK nothing happened. Can you let me know what else do i need to do? Thanks!

I tried this as soon as I noticed some of my contacts disappear and it didn't make any difference. If someone doesn't have an email address or Facebook account (my grandma) they don't show until I search by putting their number in.

Thanks a lot buddy. I did use the menus ( hardware touch key) at times to solve similar problems, but foolish of me to forget for this problem.
Another tip - touching the SMS for a longer time opens a menu, which you can use to forward etc .. ( I didn't see otherwise).
